ARTIST STATEMENT

I love exploring the intersection of digital art and studio photography. The photographs in this series use a pixel stretching technique that I developed to create dramatic relief of the nude subject against their background. I was inspired by various queer and spiritual elements of expression, including triangles, dance poses, and Hindu iconography. Though this collection is rooted in portraiture, these images also lean into an abstracted, dreamy landscape of desire.
